OnePlus Unveils Pad 3: A Powerful Tablet Aimed at Global Markets
The OnePlus Pad 3 has made its debut, promising high performance with a sleek design and is set to be available beyond the Chinese market. Sporting a larger 13.2-inch display compared to its predecessor, the Pad 2, this new tablet remains impressively thin at just 5.97 mm.
Enhanced Display and Performance
Equipped with a 3.4K LCD display that features a 144Hz refresh rate, the Pad 3, when paired with a detachable keyboard and stylus (sold separately), can transform into a full-fledged laptop replacement. Despite the increased screen size and an extra 90g weight, its thin profile makes it thinner than the latest iPad Air. Under the hood, the Pad 3 runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, complemented by 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Design Overhaul and Enhanced Features
Ditching the central circular camera module, the Pad 3 now features a compact, elongated camera on the corner. Running on Android 15, it boasts improved multitasking capabilities, with a refined split-screen mode and smoother app interactivity. Notably, OnePlus smartphone users can benefit from seamless file sharing across devices, smarter notification synchronization, and data sharing only when necessary to conserve smartphone battery life.
Additional Connectivity and Software Updates
The Pad 3 supports OPlus Connect for easy data transfer between the tablet and Apple Mac or Windows PC. Mac users gain the perk of remote computer control within direct sight. The manufacturer guarantees three years of OS updates and six years of security updates.
Pre-orders for the Pad 3 are open in regions including the UK and Europe, with availability set for June 19. The model with 12GB RAM is priced at €599, while the 16GB configuration costs €699. The Smart Keyboard and Stylo 2 are priced at €169 and €99, respectively.
