Yandex has introduced a new smart home security camera designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Priced at 4,990 RUB, this device can detect human presence, send real-time notifications, and stream live video with sound. It also offers storage options via SD card and cloud, making it a versatile addition to any smart home setup.
The camera integrates into the Yandex smart home ecosystem effortlessly. Simply connect the device to Wi-Fi and add it to the “Home with Alice” app. Users can view live footage on their phone, the Yandex Station Duo Max, or the TV Station. Voice commands and smart home scenarios are supported, enabling users to enact actions like “Alice, show the camera” to display video streams or “Alice, we left” to activate the camera and turn off the air conditioner.
Offering video quality up to 2K QHD, the camera has a 103° field of view and a 350° pan mechanism. Night vision mode is available for round-the-clock monitoring. Recordings can be stored locally on an SD card or in the cloud with a subscription. The “Standard” plan at 299 RUB/month allows for setting motion detection zones and stores videos for seven days, while the “Extra” plan at 699 RUB/month sends person-detection snapshots and keeps recordings for up to 30 days. Both plans offer the first month free.
Enhanced privacy options allow users to disable the camera with commands like “Alice, activate privacy mode” or “Alice, turn off the camera.” Users can also set scenarios for automatic deactivation or simply rotate the camera lens and mute the microphone physically. The Yandex smart IP camera is now available for purchase at Alice’s official store and major electronics retailers, with a suggested retail price of 4,990 RUB. This new release underscores Yandex’s commitment to advancing smart home technologies with user-friendly, secure solutions.
