Yandex has launched its latest smart home device—a versatile security camera ideal for homes or summer cottages. Priced at 4,990 rubles, this innovative camera can detect people, send notifications, stream real-time video with sound, and record footage on an SD card or in the cloud. This launch enhances the convenience and security of smart living.
The new IP camera integrates effortlessly into the Yandex smart home system, linking via Wi-Fi and managed through the “Home with Alice” app. Users can view camera feeds on their mobile phones, Station Duo Max, or TV Station. It supports voice commands and smart home scenarios. For example, saying “Alice, show the camera video” will display the live feed, while “Alice, we’re leaving” can activate the camera and turn off the air conditioner. Notably, the camera sends notifications on detecting noise, movement, or people.
Offering up to 2K QHD resolution and a 103° field of view, the camera covers wide areas with its 350° rotation capability and features night vision. Footage can be saved locally or in the cloud with a subscription. The “Standard” plan at 299 rubles/month allows users to define non-motion zones, track appearances, and store videos for seven days. The “Extra” plan at 699 rubles/month provides image capture on detection and 30-day cloud storage. The first month of subscription is free for both plans.
Designed with privacy in mind, the Yandex camera can be deactivated via voice commands like “Alice, enable privacy mode” or redirected physically away from view. Users can mute the microphone with a dedicated button, similar to Yandex Stations. The camera is available for purchase at the Alice Store and major electronics retailers.
