Yandex has launched a new surveillance camera designed for smart homes, offering features like real-time video streaming and intelligent notifications for just 4,990 rubles. With the capacity to identify humans in its view and alert owners instantly, this camera is a pivotal addition to enhance home security.
The new IP camera seamlessly integrates into Yandex’s smart home system. Once connected to Wi-Fi, it can be operated via the “Home with Alice” app, enabling users to monitor their home via smartphones, Station Duo Max, or TV Station.
Voice commands, like “Alice, show the camera video,” enable easy access, while tailored scenarios, such as “Alice, we’re leaving,” activate the camera and turn off other appliances like air conditioners.
Recording in up to 2K QHD with a 103° field view, this device covers nearly any angle with its 350° rotation and night vision capabilities. Users can either save recordings on an SD card or utilize cloud storage through a subscription.
The “Standard” plan at 299 rubles monthly offers customized motion detection zones and a 7-day video history. The “Extra” plan, at 699 rubles, includes photo alerts when people are detected and stores videos for up to 30 days. The first month of both subscriptions is free.
Yandex ensures user privacy with commands like “Alice, enable privacy mode” or “Alice, turn off the camera,” allowing the device to deactivate and face away on cue. Its lens can also be manually angled or muted, echoing control features found in Yandex Stations.
The smart camera is now available in the official Aliya store and leading electronics retailers, priced at 4,990 rubles, making it an accessible security upgrade for modern homes.
