Yandex has launched a new smart home device—a versatile surveillance camera—ideal for both apartments and country houses. Priced at 4,990 RUB, this camera detects motion and notifies owners in real time. It streams video with sound, and offers local SD card or cloud storage, with the latter requiring a subscription.
This innovative IP camera easily integrates with the Yandex smart home system. Connect it to Wi-Fi, and add it to the “Home with Alice” app. You can view the feed on your phone, Station Duo Max, or TV Station. Thanks to voice commands like “Alice, show the camera,” viewing and managing the camera feed is effortless. You can even set scenarios such as activating the camera and turning off the air conditioner with “Alice, we’ve left.”
The camera records in up to 2K QHD resolution, has a 103° field of view, and rotates 350°. It offers night vision and local or cloud recording. The Standard subscription (299 RUB/month) allows motion detection in specific zones and video storage for seven days. The Extra plan (699 RUB/month) includes alert photos and 30-day cloud storage, with both plans offering the first month free.
Emphasizing privacy, the smart camera can be disabled with voice commands like “Alice, enable privacy mode” or “Alice, turn off the camera.” Users can also schedule the device to deactivate at certain times. The camera’s lens can be physically turned away, and its microphone muted with a button similar to Yandex Stations. Available now at Yandex’s official store and major electronics retailers, it retails at a recommended price of 4,990 RUB.
