Yandex Launches Budget Smart Camera with Top Features

Yandex Unveils Affordable Smart Home Camera with Advanced Features

Yandex has launched a new smart home device: a surveillance camera priced at 4,990 RUB. This camera is equipped with features like real-time video streaming with audio, person detection, and notifications. It’s a timely addition for homeowners looking to enhance security with smart gadgets.

Easy Integration with Yandex Smart Home System

The latest IP camera seamlessly integrates into Yandex’s smart home ecosystem. Users can simply connect it to Wi-Fi and use the “House with Alice” app to access camera feeds. The footage is viewable on smartphones, the Station Duo Max, or TV Station. Convenience is key, as users can issue voice commands like “Alice, show me the camera” to view live footage.

Advanced Recording and Subscription Options

The camera records in up to 2K QHD resolution and has a 103° field of view, with a 350° pan mechanism. It features night mode, and recordings can be saved locally to an SD card or in the cloud. With a 299 RUB/month Standard subscription, users can customize motion detection zones and keep footage for seven days. The Extra plan, at 699 RUB/month, provides additional features like 30-day cloud storage and snapshot notifications. Both plans offer the first month free.

Privacy and Control Features

Yandex’s smart camera comes with privacy settings. Users can deactivate it with “Alice, enable privacy mode” or “Alice, turn off the camera” commands. Users can also program it to deactivate with the “Alice, I’m home” command. Additionally, the lens can be manually turned away, and the microphone muted with a button similar to the one on Yandex Stations.

The IP camera is now available in the “Alice” store and major electronics retailers, providing a cost-effective security solution for smart home enthusiasts.
