Xiaomi’s Secret Weapon Against Competitors: A Sneak Peek into the Upcoming Redmi Turbo 5

The new Xiaomi smartphone, designated with catalog number 2602BRT18C, has already received SRRC certification, indicating an imminent market release. According to insider Wisdom Pikachu, the device belongs to the Redmi Turbo 5 lineup, with the source XiaomiTime speculating that the number might conceal the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro. Latest industry insights suggest that alongside the Redmi Turbo 5 lineup, other devices such as earphones, laptops, and desktop chargers may debut. The potential release window is January or February 2025, ahead of the Chinese New Year celebrations.

According to preliminary data, the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro will feature a 9000 mAh battery with 100-watt charging support. The device is also rumored to have a metal side frame, ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint sensor, full water resistance, and symmetrical stereo speakers. Digital Chat Station estimates an expected price of around 2500 yuan ($360). Outside of China, the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to be released as the Poco X8 Pro, while the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro will be the Poco X8 Pro Max.

Wisdom Pikachu accurately reported the launch of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in April 2023 and the debut of Xiaomi Pad 6 tablets at the same presentation. Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to correctly detail the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, and also noted that the Realme GT 7 Pro will feature a bright Samsung display, while the Dimensity 9400 SoC will launch before Snapdragon 8 Elite.
