Luo Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group, has switched phones. In his Weibo profile, the previous Xiaomi 17 Pro Max was replaced with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Many Xiaomi fans ask him in the comments about how the Xiaomi 17 Ultra turned out, but so far there are no answers. Typically, the President of Xiaomi switches to a new flagship just before its announcement. Currently, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has received 3C certification. The models are called 2512BPNDAC and 25128PNA1C. The first is the standard version, and the second is the version with support for dual satellite networks.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be the new smartphone on the Snapdragon 8 Ultra Gen 5 single-chip system and at the same time the only flagship on this platform with a 1-inch camera sensor. The Snapdragon 8 Ultra Gen 5 is lauded for its enhanced AI capabilities and superior energy efficiency, making it a powerhouse for gaming and multimedia. The smartphone will receive a flat display with improved “superpixel” technology, ensuring resolution above 2K with reduced power consumption, and also an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display.
The device will be equipped with a battery capacity of about 7000 mAh with fast wired charging of 100 W and wireless 80 W, IP68 protection, and an updated triple camera. The main module is a 50 MP OmniVision OV50X with a 1-inch sensor and expanded dynamic range. The OmniVision OV50X offers cutting-edge low-light performance and rapid autofocus, highly praised by tech reviewers. The system is complemented by a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 200-megapixel module with 5x optical zoom.
The release of the next flagship camera phone Xiaomi 17 Ultra is coming soon. Several Xiaomi retail outlets have begun taking blind pre-orders. The marketing buzz around this model is particularly intense, with comparisons often drawn with competitors such as Samsung’s latest releases, highlighting Xiaomi’s competitive pricing and innovation leap.
