Xiaomi’s New Ultra-Thin Fridge Promises Three Months of Energy Savings

Company Xiaomi has released a new refrigerator, the Mijia Refrigerator Pro Micro-Fresh Dual System Cross-shaped Built-in 560L, now available for pre-order on the JD.com website. The standard price is 1165 USD, but early buyers in China can purchase the novelty for 850 USD. Sales are expected to begin on January 1 of the following year. This refrigerator is available in three colors: white “Ice Crystal,” silver “Star,” and apricot glass. It features an ultra-thin flat design with a depth of only 60 cm.

The refrigerator supports maximum energy efficiency, which, according to the manufacturer, allows saving about 3 months of electricity per year compared to the previous refrigerator of this line. It supports an NFC feature for product expiration reminders, Mijia Micro-Ice Fresh technology with independent temperature control, allowing meat to stay fresh for up to 10 days without freezing. The refrigerator supports fully automatic ice production and has comprehensive antibacterial certification; it is also equipped with an ionic purification system 2.0, providing an E. coli removal rate of more than 99.999%.
