Initial Wave of Beta Access

The first wave – kicking off on January 22 – will prioritize access to the beta version for owners of the most recent smartphones and tablets:

  • Xiaomi 17 series: Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17
  • Redmi K90 series: K90 Pro Max, K90
  • Tablets: Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 8

Expansion in Late January

The second wave will commence by January 30. By the end of the month, users of last year’s flagships will join the testing:

  • Xiaomi 15 series: Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 15S Pro, Xiaomi 15 Pro, Xiaomi 15
  • Xiaomi 14 series: Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 Pro (including Titanium Edition), Xiaomi 14
  • Foldable devices: Xiaomi MIX Flip 2
  • REDMI series: K80 Pro, K80 Ultimate Edition, K80
  • Tablets: Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra

Advisory Note from Developers

Developers emphasize that this is an early engineering version (Early Engineering Test Version). It may contain bugs, operate unstably, and differ from the final product. Xiaomi strongly advises against installing the update on the main device used for daily tasks.

The launch of HyperOS 3 testing aligns with the increasing trend among smartphone users to engage with cutting-edge technology early in its development cycle, allowing feedback to shape the final user experience. As Xiaomi tests these waters, competitors are also eyeing similar expansions in OS functionalities, anticipating shifts in user preferences toward more personalized and intuitive interfaces.
