Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3: A New Era or Just Another Update?

The new wave of updates includes devices from Redmi and Poco, with the full list and build numbers as follows: Redmi K60 – OS3.0.2.0.VMNCNXM; Redmi K60 Pro – OS3.0.3.0.VMKCNXM; Redmi K60 Ultra – OS3.0.3.0.WMLCNXM; Redmi Note 15 – OS3.0.2.0.WPQCNXM; Redmi Note 14 5G – OS3.0.3.0.WOQCNXM; Redmi Note 13 Pro – OS3.0.4.0.WNFMIXM; Redmi Note 13 5G – OS3.0.1.0.VNQCNXM; Redmi Note 13R – OS3.0.1.0.WNUCNXM; Redmi Note 13R Pro – OS3.0.1.0.VNQCNXM; Redmi Turbo 3 – OS3.0.4.0.WNPCNXM; Poco M6 Pro – OS3.0.4.0.WNFMIXM; Xiaomi Pad 6 Max 14 – OS3.0.1.0.VMHCNXM; Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro – OS3.0.3.0.VMYCNXM.

It is important to note that HyperOS 3 for all these models was released in China, with a global release expected early in 2026. This anticipatory move keeps Xiaomi competitive in the international market, as more consumers demand timely software updates.

HyperOS 3 brings various improvements in interface and functionality:

  • HyperIsland: An interactive ‘island’ for quick notifications at the top of the screen (similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island); provides a more integrated user experience.
  • AI Tools: Built-in generative artificial intelligence functions for photo editing and text management, reflecting current consumer trends towards more AI-driven features.
  • Updated Interface: Redesigned lock screen, smoother animations, and enhanced widgets, contributing to a more fluid and attractive user environment.
  • Ecosystem: Simplified cross-device application screen sharing to tablets and laptops (Cross-Device Mirroring), which enhances Xiaomi’s already robust device integration.

This substantial update underlines Xiaomi’s ambition to lead in both technological innovation and in maintaining strong ties to its user community. Experts suggest that such proactive updates might not only preserve but potentially expand Xiaomi’s market share, as consumers increasingly value seamless, up-to-date software environments.
