Xiaomi is gearing up to announce the global models Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra. The announcement is set for November 26, but today, the battery specifications of the new products were unveiled. The batteries are notably large. The junior model Poco F8 Pro will have a battery capacity of 6210 mAh, while the senior model will feature a 6500 mAh battery. However, there’s a catch.
This situation arises because these new Poco products are the global versions of the recently announced Chinese Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max. These models are equipped with batteries of 7100 mAh and 7560 mAh respectively. We see once more how the battery capacity significantly decreases when transforming Chinese models into global versions. It’s likely due to the regulations of European carriers, who maintain specific restrictions.
In addition to the battery details, industry experts are speculating about potential changes to ensure that these devices comply with global standards while maintaining performance quality. Analysts suggest the inclusion of fast charging technology, akin to rival brands like Realme, which could be a game-changer for Xiaomi’s market presence. This adaptation is crucial as Xiaomi continues its strategic push into Western markets.
