According to XiaomiTime, this phase started almost immediately after the launch of the Mi Pilot program in China on January 22, 2026. The main technical feature of HyperOS 3.1 is that it is exclusively designed based on Android 16.

The list of first-wave devices, where Xiaomi’s engineering teams are already testing global builds of Android 16, includes both current flagships and past generation flagships. The lineup looks like this:

  • **Xiaomi Devices:** Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi MIX Flip, Xiaomi Pad Mini;
  • **Poco Devices:** Poco F7 Pro, Poco F7 Ultra, Poco F8 Ultra.

For users wishing to quickly track firmware release status and manage updates for individual system APKs, the MemeOS Enhancer app is available. The utility interacts directly with Xiaomi’s update servers.
