In December 2025, Xiaomi Auto set a new monthly record by delivering over 50,000 vehicles to customers. This is the company’s best performance since entering the electric vehicle market. Previously, the manufacturer had consistently maintained monthly sales above 40,000 cars for three consecutive months.
By the end of November 2025, Xiaomi Auto had delivered 361,625 vehicles, and thanks to the strong December results, total deliveries for the year exceeded 410,000 units. Thus, the company surpassed its initial 2025 plan, which aimed for the production and delivery of 350,000 vehicles by a significant margin.
According to the China Passenger Car Association, even by November, Xiaomi Auto’s cumulative deliveries had exceeded 500,000 vehicles. It took the company less than 20 months to reach this milestone, setting a global record among electric vehicle manufacturers.
Xiaomi Auto is also gearing up for an aggressive push in 2026: Chinese media reports indicate plans to introduce four new models, including the refreshed SU7, the SU7 Executive Edition, as well as 5- and 7-seat crossovers with extended range capabilities. With this strategy, Xiaomi aims to meet the growing consumer demand for more versatile and spacious electric vehicles.
As the competition intensifies in the electric vehicle market, particularly with Tesla and local brands like NIO, Xiaomi’s approach highlights a commitment to innovation and a keen understanding of the market needs. The introduction of new models could not only bolster their market share but potentially recalibrate consumer expectations in terms of technology and value.
