In the firmware code of HyperOS 3 for Xiaomi smartphones, information about the yet-to-be-released Xiaomi 17T model has surfaced. While details are still emerging, some essential characteristics have become known. For example, the device will be equipped with a 6500mAh battery supporting 67-watt charging. In comparison, the Xiaomi 15T boasts a 5500mAh battery, but the charging power remains the same.
Interestingly, the camera setup, at least in terms of resolution, remains unchanged: a main camera with a resolution of 50MP, a telephoto lens with the same resolution, and an ultra-wide-angle camera of 12MP. There is a possibility that some sensors may be new, but no data is available on that yet. Regarding the platform, it is expected to be a Dimensity 9400 SoC against the Dimensity 8400 in the current generation.
For context, it’s important to note that Xiaomi 15T was released in September with a price tag of 650 euros ($728). Rumors suggest that Xiaomi 17T might have its pricing around this range, potentially offering a competitive edge against models like the Samsung Galaxy A series launched recently with slightly lower specifications in battery capacity but with advanced charging capabilities.
