The Chinese company Wuling has officially unveiled the new 7-seater minivan, the Xingguang 730. This vehicle is offered with various powertrains, and its pricing is notably competitive even for the crowded Chinese market.
Here are the prices: a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 176 hp, manual transmission – from 73,000 yuan; a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 176 hp, CVT – from 83,800 yuan; a plug-in hybrid with an electric range of 125 km – from 103,800 yuan; an electric vehicle with a range of 500 km (CLTC) – from 109,800 yuan.
The hybrid version is equipped with the Lingxi Power 3.0 system, boasting an internal combustion engine thermal efficiency of 43.2%. It utilizes the fourth-generation 10-in-1 electric drive: a range of up to 1100 km and a consumption of 5.3 l/100 km with the battery depleted.
The electric version received a traction battery with a capacity of 60 kW·h, energy consumption is 13.6 kW·h/100 km. The possibility of powering external electrical appliances is provided.
Inside the minivan is a media system with a 12.8-inch screen, a surround view system, and a wireless charging station with a power output of 50 W for smartphones. An electric drive is provided for the sliding side door. The dimensions of the Wuling Xingguang 730 are 4910 × 1850 × 1770 mm, with a wheelbase of 2910 mm and a seating layout of 2+2+3.
Reception in the market has been positive, with experts praising the combination of price and features, which makes it a strong contender in its segment. The hybrid and electric versions, in particular, highlight the growing trend towards more eco-friendly options, appealing to environmentally-conscious consumers.
