Wacom has unveiled its latest additions to the Cintiq family: the Cintiq 16, Cintiq 24, and Cintiq 24 Touch, equipped with the advanced Wacom Pro Pen 3. These new graphic tablets boast a slimmer design, narrow bezels, and reduced weight, positioning them as an attractive choice for digital artists and designers.
The Cintiq 16 features a 16-inch screen with a resolution of 2.5K (2560 × 1600 pixels) and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Meanwhile, the Cintiq 24 and Cintiq 24 Touch models offer 23.8-inch displays at a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. With a touch-sensitive screen, the Cintiq 24 Touch allows for intuitive gestures like zooming and rotating images.
Wacom promises “realistic color” display capabilities combined with anti-glare glass to minimize reflections. This glass also enhances the feel of using a stylus, likening it to the tactile experience of drawing on paper. The flagship Wacom Pro Pen 3 enhances this experience with remarkable precision.
The new Cintiq models feature a notably thinner profile than previous generations. For example, the Cintiq 24 is almost half the thickness of its 22-inch predecessor, now just 21mm thick. The fanless design ensures silent operation.
The Wacom Pro Pen 3 is designed for sensitivity and responsiveness, with a 12 ms response time and support for 8192 pressure levels and up to 60 degrees of tilt. Users can customize the device with three programmable buttons and an optional textured Wood Grip for enhanced comfort.
The Cintiq 24 and Cintiq 24 Touch come with an adjustable stand for flexible positioning, while the Cintiq 16 offers foldable legs and optional stand compatibility. All models support VESA mounting, lending themselves to varied setups using third-party monitor arms.
The tablets include USB-C, HDMI, and USB-A ports for versatile connectivity. The new Wacom Cintiq series will be available this summer, with prices set at $699.95 for the Cintiq 16, $1299.95 for the Cintiq 24, and $1499.95 for the Cintiq 24 Touch. These competitive prices aim to attract burgeoning digital artists seeking high performance and sleek aesthetics.
