Voyah Automobile has reported an impressive start in sales for its flagship SUV, the Voyah Taishan. Within the first 26 days of launching deliveries, 5,000 units were handed over to customers. This model has become the first Chinese mass-produced crossover equipped with a three-chamber air suspension, which immediately set it apart from competitors.
Interest in the new release was high from the very start: according to official data, over 10,000 orders were placed just 21 minutes after sales began.
The premiere of the Voyah Taishan took place on November 18, and the vehicle was launched in four versions with prices ranging from 379,900 to 509,900 yuan ($54,000 to $73,000), including a limited edition Black Knight slated for release early next year.
The flagship model features advanced technology: air suspension with 110 mm adjustment stroke and adaptive damping, Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4 intelligent driving system with lidar sensors and 4D radars, as well as a HarmonySpace 5 cabin powered by AI controls.
The Taishan operates on a parallel hybrid scheme: a 1.5-liter ICE delivering 150 hp works alongside two electric motors with a total output of 517 hp. Its triple battery system, with 65 kWh capacity, provides up to 290 km (180 miles) of range on electric power alone according to WLTP standards, and 1,200 km (746 miles) in total.
