Volkswagen Touareg’s Evolution Grants Edge in Chinese Market

Volkswagen Touareg withdrew from the global scene, yet remains a staple in China. The vehicle has seen the unveiling of a new version in the country – the Edge Edition. A defining feature is its Black Sports exterior package. In lieu of traditional chrome, the car boasts glossy black R-Line components. A frameless radiator grille, roof rails, and bold 21-inch Leeds wheels are all draped in black, complemented by tinted rear lights.

Inside, it harbors a media system with a sprawling 15.05-inch display and a digital instrument panel extending 12 inches. The equipment list includes an intelligent parking system and a surround view system.

Beneath the hood lies a 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine producing 340 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system featuring a Torsen differential and adaptive air suspension, which adjusts ground clearance based on road conditions.
