The announcement of the Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and Steam Controller took place last year, but the official pricing remains undisclosed. However, what Valve hasn’t revealed was unearthed by a Czech retailer: Smarty.cz’s website displayed a product page for the Steam Machine with prices for two configurations.

According to the site’s source code, the Steam Machine version with 512 GB storage is priced at 19,826 Czech koruna, approximately $950. Meanwhile, the 2 TB version costs 22,305 koruna, or around $1,070. These figures are speculative, as the final pricing for the Steam Machine could be lower or, conversely, higher. Industry insiders have repeatedly pointed out that hardware prices will likely keep increasing due to ongoing memory supply challenges.
Moreover, Valve has previously made it clear they have no plans to subsidize the device’s costs. Recent reports suggest that memory chip shortages continue to plague the tech industry, leading to higher production costs that could affect consumer prices. Competing products, such as the latest consoles from Sony and Microsoft, have also seen similar impacts on availability and pricing, reinforcing these concerns.
While Valve hasn’t provided an update, enthusiasts eagerly await an official announcement. Rumors suggest the company might reveal more details soon, possibly aiming for a strategic release aligned with gaming industry events in the coming months.
