AMD graphics cards are set to become more expensive shortly. Meanwhile, Nvidia is reported to decrease production volumes of certain GeForce RTX 50 models due to a memory shortage. Total shipments will be 30-40% lower than in the first half of 2025. This is a very significant reduction.
This reduction appears to initially affect two models: GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and RTX 5070 Ti.
Such a choice is possibly due to these being the most accessible Nvidia models with 16GB of memory, offering more memory at a lower retail price. The RTX 5070, however, comes with 12GB of memory and remains the most popular in the lineup, according to Steam statistics.
With production cuts possibly leading to price increases, the market might experience stock shortages and price hikes, primarily affecting gamers and creators who rely on high-end graphics for smooth operation. Enthusiasts could turn to alternative models or even wait for future releases. However, the impact on pricing hasn’t been definitively detailed yet.
