Single-board computers Raspberry Pi 4/5 have increased in price for the second time in two months, now standing 70% higher than the original. The company chose not to raise the price quietly and published a message on the official website explaining their actions.
Of course, the reason lies in the rise in memory prices. For Raspberry Pi 5, in most configurations, there is not much memory, but it is still more expensive than before. Price hikes accelerated with the onset of 2026, and the cost of some components has more than doubled in the last quarter. As a result, we now need to additionally raise prices on all Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 models, as well as on the Compute Module 4/5, which have 2 GB of memory or more.
Prices, depending on volume, have been increased by an amount ranging from $10 to $60. In the end, for example, Raspberry Pi 5 16GB has gone up to $205, whereas the original price was $120.
