The spacewalk at the International Space Station, originally slated for Thursday, January 8th, has been delayed, as announced by NASA. The agency is currently monitoring the health of one of its crew members. Due to medical privacy mandates, NASA is unable to disclose further details regarding the crew member’s health. The situation remains stable, however.
NASA plans to release additional information, including a rescheduled date for the upcoming spacewalk, in due course. Despite NASA’s report that the astronaut’s condition is stable, the agency is considering an early termination of the mission.

Ensuring the safety of our missions is our highest priority. We are actively evaluating all options, including the potential early return of the crew. These are the situations that NASA and our partners prepare and train for to execute safely,” the agency shared.
Updates on the situation are promised within the next 24 hours.
