In January, the premiere of two new models from the Poco brand – the Poco M8 Pro and Poco M8 – will take place. The specifications of the devices have been disclosed by insider Yogesh Brar.
According to the informant, the Poco M8 Pro will feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The front camera will have a resolution of 32 MP, while the main camera will include sensors with resolutions of 50 MP and 8 MP. The hardware platform will be based on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. The battery capacity will be 6500 mAh, with a maximum charging power of 100 W.
The Poco M8 will be a more straightforward model. The smartphone will come with a 6.7-inch OLED display, Full HD+ resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Built on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, the Poco M8 will feature a 5520 mAh battery and 45-watt charging. The primary sensor of the main camera will boast a resolution of 50 MP, and the front camera will have 20 MP.
Experts forecast that the Poco M8 Pro’s competitive pricing and top-tier features will make it a formidable contender against other mid-range smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy A54 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro. Additionally, the mid-range pricing strategy may appeal to budget-conscious consumers looking for high-end features without the premium price tag.
According to the insider, the market release of the Poco M8 Pro is set to occur by the middle of the first quarter of 2026. However, new models of the Poco X series will not be released. At least, there are currently no such plans.
