The Resonator kit includes original body kit elements molded from composite materials. The standard StepWGN optics are replaced with universal rectangular block headlights, characteristic of vehicles from the past century, complemented by chrome wheels and roof marker lights. The result is a van with a distinctive “old-school” look without altering the body’s structural integrity. Meanwhile, technically, the Honda StepWGN remains entirely modern. The current version is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 150 horsepower or a hybrid system e:HEV, combining a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and an electric motor. Further enhancing its appeal, the StepWGN offers a spacious cabin and features like sliding doors, adaptive cruise control, Honda Sensing active safety systems, and a modern multimedia complex.

In recent years, there has been a resurgence in vintage styling across various automotive markets, with consumers increasingly drawn to retro aesthetics combined with modern technology. This trend aligns with a general appreciation for nostalgia while ensuring safety and convenience with contemporary engineering. Such kits as the DAMD Resonator cater to enthusiasts wanting a blend of old-world charm and present-day functionality. Additionally, the StepWGN’s design and features have garnered attention, particularly in urban markets focused on family usability and eco-friendly options, underscoring its versatility and appeal.
