Pony.ai plans to deploy 1,000 of these vehicles in major cities in 2026, providing safe and round-the-clock trips. The Platinum 4X is equipped with Pony.ai’s seventh-generation autonomous driving system, tested in the challenging conditions of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, and optimized for various usage scenarios.
The system ensures a high level of safety thanks to a multi-layered backup architecture, reduces equipment costs by 70% compared to the previous generation, and provides compatibility with various car models. For passengers, Bluetooth unlocking, voice control, and access to online services are implemented.
