Toyota’s Newest Innovation: The Yaris Rally 4
According to the Japanese resource BestCarWeb, Toyota plans to launch the new Yaris Rally 4 in 2027. Unlike the GR Yaris, which is built for racing, the Yaris Rally 4 will be much closer to the mass-produced model. The newcomer will feature a 1.3-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine with 135 horsepower, front-wheel drive, and a five-seat, five-door body.
The platform is an evolution of the GA-B with front McPherson struts and a rear torsion beam. The transmission is a 6-speed manual, with an 8-speed automatic offered as an alternative. The car will be released in a limited edition of 2,500 units, and the price will be 2.5–2.8 million yen ($16-18K).

The dimensions of the car will be 3850 × 1725 × 1475 mm, with a wheelbase of 2450 mm. The weight is just 980 kg, so even 135 hp will provide decent dynamics.
