The Future of Samsung’s Galaxy A Series: How A37 and A57 Set New Standards

The premiere of Samsung’s new Galaxy A series smartphones, the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57, is eagerly awaited in the first half of 2026. These new models will feature not only updated Exynos processors but also enhanced camera systems, as revealed in the One UI code.

The junior model, Galaxy A37, will be equipped with a triple camera setup. The main module will boast a 50-megapixel sensor: depending on the sales region, this could be either the Sony IMX906 or Samsung’s S5KGNJ. The Sony IMX906, with an optical format of 1/1.56 inches, is considerably larger than the Sony IMX882 (1/1.95 inches) found in the current Galaxy A36. The larger sensor will capture more light, improving photography, especially in low-light conditions. The other sensors will remain the same as those in the Galaxy A36: an 8-megapixel GalaxyCore GC08A3 in the ultra-wide module and a 5-megapixel GalaxyCore GC05A3. For selfies, a 12-megapixel GalaxyCore GC12A2 will be responsible.

The Galaxy A57 will feature the same main sensor (Sony IMX906 or Samsung S5KGNJ) as the Galaxy A37, but it will also upgrade the sensor in the ultra-wide module with a 13-megapixel ISOCELL S5K3L6. For macro photography, the GalaxyCore GC05A3 will be used. The resolution of the front camera will be 12 MP, but here a more advanced Samsung ISOCELL S5K3LC sensor will be used.

Industry experts predict these models could potentially disrupt the mid-range market with these advancements, offering consumers enhanced performance and versatility at competitive prices. With both Samsung and Sony sensors providing superior low-light shooting capabilities, users can expect significant improvements in photo quality across varying conditions.
