At the CES 2026 exhibition, the company TDM (Tomorrow Doesn’t Matter) unveiled its first product – the Neo wireless headphones, which boast a unique design. The flexible headband can be wrapped around the ear cups, transforming them into a compact Bluetooth speaker. Neo features four speakers: two are inward-facing for headphone mode, while the other two face outward for speaker mode. Mode switching is achieved at the press of a button or by twisting the headphones. In headphone mode, the internal 40mm drivers operate. When switched to speaker mode, these are deactivated, and the external 40mm drivers kick in.

According to TDM, the headphones offer up to 200 hours of playback time in headphone mode, dropping to just over 10 hours in speaker mode. Neo employs two replaceable batteries, each with a capacity of 1500 mAh. Wireless connectivity is facilitated by Bluetooth 6 with support for Multipoint and Auracast. Additionally, a 3.5mm audio jack is available for wired connections. The built-in microphone can be used for calls and activating voice assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant in both modes.
TDM plans to kickstart a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in January. The Neo headphones will be available in black and white colors priced at $249. Despite this price, the Neo lacks active noise cancellation, relying instead on passive noise cancellation provided solely by memory foam ear cups.
Latest Trends in Headphones and Bluetooth Technology
Recent entrants like Sony and Bose have set the bar high with sophisticated noise cancellation technologies, making TDM’s reliance on passive noise reduction a noteworthy decision. Bluetooth technology consistently evolves, and with the advent of Bluetooth 6, these capabilities are now enhanced, offering better range, connectivity, and audio quality.
Consumer Response to Crowdfunded Tech
The tech crowdfunding landscape has shown varied success rates, with audio tech often capturing consumer interest for its innovative execution and utility. Products like Neo can appeal due to their multifunctional use and cutting-edge design, setting them apart in a crowded market.
