Company TCL has announced the release of a new series of T7 televisions featuring QLED technology, aimed at gamers. The lineup includes screen sizes of 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches. The starting price for the 55-inch model is $599.99, while the 85-inch flagship of the series is priced at $1399.99.
The televisions are equipped with variable refresh rate (VRR) support and achieve 144 Hz on all models except the 55-inch one, which supports up to 120 Hz. This makes the devices appealing to gamers, as high refresh rates reduce lag during fast-paced gaming.
All models support modern HDR formats: both Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Audio accompaniment includes surround sound via Dolby Atmos. These TVs run on the Google TV platform, which provides integration with Chromecast, AirPlay 2, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit. The core is the TCL AIPQ PRO processor. For device connectivity, there are four HDMI ports, including one with eARC function (enhanced Audio Return Channel), enabling the transmission of high-quality sound.
While exact screen brightness levels and the precise launch date remain undisclosed, the T7 series is expected to follow the industry trend of increasingly larger and more vibrant displays. In addition, the consideration for compatibility with the latest gaming consoles and streaming capabilities suggests TCL’s intention to cater to a tech-savvy audience looking for seamless multimedia experiences.
