Starship Set for New Heights as SpaceX Multiplies Efforts

On the prototype Starship with serial number 39, the lower aerodynamic elements, that is, the wings, have been installed, thus the ship will be fully assembled. The lower wings play a key role in controlled atmospheric re-entry and landing maneuvers. Following the assembly, it is expected to proceed to ground checks and the first tests, which will become part of the preparation program for the 12th flight of Starship.

At the Starbase spaceport, where SpaceX is actively developing the Starship project, the second launch stand OLM-B is almost ready, as shown in new aerial photographs. As previously reported, SpaceX concurrently conducted tests on two elements of the new generation Starship rocket.

Enhancing its ambitious endeavors, SpaceX’s teams have exhibited remarkable efficiency. Recent reports indicate that the completion of major ground infrastructure at Starbase aligns with the rapid progression observed in Starship’s production timeline. The readiness of OLM-B is a testament to SpaceX’s commitment to aggressive timelines with a significant number of crew and cargo missions planned shortly thereafter. Imagery from Starfactory not only underscores the industrial scale but also suggests a strategic pivot towards more frequent flights.
