Snapdragon’s Dominance in 2025: AnTuTu’s Newest Rankings Surprise

Developers of the AnTuTu benchmark have published the December ranking of the most powerful smartphones. It includes 10 models, eight of which are built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 single-chip platform. Only two models use MediaTek Dimensity 9500 – Vivo X300 Pro (6th place) and Oppo Find X9 Pro (7th place).

In first place was Red Magic 11 Pro+, with iQOO 15 and OnePlus 15 taking second and third places. A new model in the ranking was the Honor Win, presented on December 26th: equipped with a giant 10,000 mAh battery, a 185 Hz screen, and a fan spinning at 25,000 rpm, it instantly captured fifth place. Moreover, Honor has the most positions in the ranking – three in total. Besides Honor Win, Honor Magic8 and Honor Magic8 Pro are among the most powerful smartphones of December.

In recent market analysis, Qualcomm’s dominance with its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform underscores a significant trend towards high-performance devices that cater to gamer-centric audiences, specifically targeting those seeking superior graphics and extensive battery life. The Red Magic 11 Pro+ is particularly celebrated for its advanced cooling technology, which includes a physical cooling fan – a feature that stands out among competitors. The iQOO 15, known for its sleek design and enhanced camera capabilities, appeals to photography enthusiasts. OnePlus 15 continues to impress with its balanced performance and affordability considering flagship specifications.

The growing interest in MediaTek’s Dimensity chipsets, evident through Vivo X300 Pro and Oppo Find X9 Pro, marks the beginning of a competitive era where MediaTek aims for market share against Qualcomm’s established reputation. Analysts predict that 2026 may be a landmark year for devices adopting breakthrough technologies like foldable screens and integrated AI-driven optimizations, setting a new standard for smartphone excellence.
