Smartphones of 2026: A New Era of Battery Capacity

Digital Chat Station continues to reveal details about upcoming smartphones that, in 2026, are set to feature record-breaking battery capacities. According to them, manufacturers are testing batteries with a capacity of 10,000 mAh, supported by fast charging capabilities around 100W. Initial tests have shown that such batteries can accept high power from the start, ensuring rapid charge at the beginning of the cycle. Despite the high power threshold, full charging still takes about an hour.

Simulated autonomy tests show a slight exceedance of two days of operation without recharging. It is expected that high-capacity batteries with fast charging support will become the new standard for smartphones shortly. According to Digital Chat Station, manufacturers are already testing series smartphones with 12,000 mAh batteries, as well as prototypes with batteries around 15,000 mAh.

Previously, it was frequently mentioned that next year, mid-range devices with batteries at about 10,000 mAh will start to enter the market. Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications of Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, as well as the Realme GT 7 Pro featuring a bright Samsung display, and the earlier release of the SoC Dimensity 9400 compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
