Segway’s Latest Innovations at CES 2026: Bridging Utility, Style, and Adventure

Segway’s New Electric Lineup: A CES 2026 Showcase

At CES 2026, Segway announced three new models of electric vehicles: the Myon and Muxi electric bikes, along with the Xaber 300 electric motorcycle. These new offerings target a broad audience by providing diverse configuration options and functionalities.

Electro-Bike Marvels: Myon & Muxi

Designed as a universal model for commuting and leisure, the Myon electric bike comes in three classes: Class 1 (pedal assist, no throttle, max speed 32 km/h [20 mph]), Class 2 (with throttle, max speed 32 km/h [20 mph]), and Class 3 (no throttle, max speed 45 km/h [28 mph]). The Myon is equipped with a 500W engine offering peak torque of 85 Nm and a 48V / 722 Wh battery, allowing for a range up to 128 km (80 miles). Featuring an 80mm suspension fork, hydraulic disc brakes, and an electronic shifting system, this model promises a balance between performance and comfort.

Segway provides a user-friendly interface where gear changes are made through “+” and “–” buttons on the handlebars, controlled by a servo motor at the rear derailleur. This setup can be customized via a mobile app. The Myon starts at $1999 and is now open for preorders.

In contrast, the Muxi bike embraces a retro style with a curved frame and upright seating, aimed at more relaxed riding. Available in Class 1 and Class 2 options, it features a single-speed transmission and a 750W motor with 80 Nm of torque. Enhanced with Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, regenerative braking, and a Traction Control System, the Muxi starts at $1699, launching in March.

Extreme Adventure with Xaber 300

The Xaber 300 electric motorcycle is tailored for extreme off-road adventures. While Segway has yet to disclose detailed specs like power, battery capacity, and range, it promises to reveal more information in the future. It is known that the motorcycle has three power modes, akin to motors with 150, 200, and 300 cc engines, and for seasoned riders, a virtual electronic clutch mimicking a traditional mechanical clutch is available.

The lineup includes a traction control system and a mobile app for setting wheelie angles and speed limits, as well as geofencing. All new Segway models incorporate advanced anti-theft systems, featuring a Lost Mode for remote bike and battery lock in theft scenarios.

The color screens across the lineup display bike status and rider fitness data for a holistic experience. The optional RearView Radar priced at $99.99 provides a 150-degree view up to 70 meters, alerting riders to approaching cars. For the Myon and Muxi, an automatic Xiro Dropper seat post at $299.99 lowers when stopping to ease mounting and dismounting.

Reacting to the Market

Segway’s entrance into diversified electric biking solutions highlights its adaptive strategy within the burgeoning green transportation movement. With competitors aware, the challenge now lies in balancing innovation with consumer-friendly pricing and availability.
