The official debut of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S26 series is anticipated on February 25. However, renowned insider Roland Quandt has unveiled details about the brand’s pricing strategy. According to the informer, the company plans to maintain the costs of the new models at the same level as last year, and in some configurations, even lower them despite rising production costs.
According to the leak, the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra in the 256 GB and 512 GB versions may become €100 ($109) cheaper than its predecessor. In Europe, the price for the new product is expected to start at €1350 ($1474). Meanwhile, the cost of the 1 TB version will remain unchanged.
As for the US market, the following prices are anticipated: Galaxy S26 – $800; Galaxy S26 Plus – $1000; Galaxy S26 Ultra – $1200. The new models will replace the current S25 series on sale, but there is an unusual exception expected in the lineup. The Galaxy S25 Edge model, despite using last generation hardware, is likely to remain in official sales.
Analysts mention that Samsung is willing to incur additional production expenses to retain customer loyalty and maintain market share amid intense competition. Roland Quandt had previously fully unveiled the cameras on the GoPro 9 Black and GoPro 10 Black before their announcement and disclosed their exact costs, as well as released accurate renders of many other smartphones, including Nokia G21, Xiaomi Mi A3, Xiaomi Mi 9T, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
