The first details about the Galaxy S26 Ultra leaked by renowned insider Ice Universe are beginning to emerge. According to the latest leak, Samsung employs an enhanced lens coating aimed at reducing glare and halos, especially when shooting scenes with bright light sources. Similar solutions are already used by competitors like Vivo and Sony, who have been praised for their pioneering work in this area.
Additionally, some improvements in the camera’s image processing are reported. These include adjustments in skin tone rendition, which in recent Galaxy models faced criticism for appearing too warm or yellowish in some situations. Rumors also suggest a wider aperture on some lenses, which could improve shooting quality in low-light conditions. Analysts note that this aligns with industry trends, as Vivo and Sony have similarly enhanced their low-light capabilities in their latest models, focusing on AI-driven optimization.
Nevertheless, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera system does not seem set for major changes. Unlike most competitors, there are no signs that the primary module and telephoto lenses will become more advanced. It is expected that the quad-camera system will remain largely unchanged compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, except possibly for the telephoto lens with a 3x zoom, which may receive a minor sensor update.
The Galaxy S26 series is anticipated to debut in early 2026, likely at the Unpacked event in February, followed by a March release. This schedule continues Samsung’s tradition of revealing flagship phones at the start of the year.
