Samsung Plans Price Hike for Galaxy A Series Amid Global Demand

Samsung is set to increase the prices of its Galaxy A series smartphones in one of its key markets – India. According to insider information from Abhishek Yadav, known on the social network X, starting Monday, December 15, the cost of most Galaxy A models in India will rise by 1,000 Indian Rupees ($11). This increase will affect almost the entire series.

Separately, it is noted that a more significant price increase is expected for the Galaxy A56 model – its price may increase by 2,000 Rupees ($22). While this price increase cannot be called large, the Galaxy A line includes very different models. For example, the very affordable Galaxy A06 and at the same time the much more expensive Galaxy A56, so for some devices – the most affordable ones – the price increase will be substantial.

It is not yet known if smartphones will become more expensive in other markets, but against the backdrop of a significant increase in memory prices, such a scenario cannot be ruled out.

Previously, it was reported that Samsung plans to release new Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 smartphones earlier than usual – already in February, whereas presentations usually take place in March or April. This strategic move is likely influenced by the high demand and consumer anticipation surrounding the Galaxy A series, often lauded for its balance of cost and quality. With the Galaxy A16, Galaxy A06, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A56 among the most popular smartphones worldwide, Samsung’s decision aims to capitalize on this momentum.

Earlier, Abhishek Yadav accurately reported on the Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and Mi 10T Lite smartphones before their announcement.
