On Samsung’s server appeared the first beta version of the Samsung One UI 8.5 system, compatible with Galaxy S25 series phones. This signifies that the system has reached the final stage of internal testing and is expected soon to be released as a public beta version.
IT Home, citing SammyGuru, reports that Samsung will add numerous new features and enhancements to the system. Currently, the first beta version of One UI 8.5 is available on Korean Samsung servers. However, Samsung is unlikely to limit the beta testing program to the domestic market, so it is expected that it will later be uploaded to servers in other regions.
The firmware version is ZYKP, and it is compatible with Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models. However, S25 Edge is not mentioned in this firmware. Previously it was reported that Samsung would release the One UI 8.5 beta version for the Galaxy S25 series by the end of this month.
Recent investigations suggest that the exclusion of the S25 Edge may be due to ongoing adjustments or hardware incompatibilities unique to that model. The One UI 8.5 is expected to introduce enhancements such as better multitasking capabilities and more intuitive customization options.
