According to the Greek resource Tech Maniacs, which cites sources close to Samsung, the Korean company plans to keep the cost of its future flagship Galaxy S26 lineup almost unchanged compared to the Galaxy S25 series models. This refutes rumors that the new models could increase by 200-300 euros ($216-324) compared to their predecessors.
For the top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra, the base price will remain the same, although slight increases are possible for versions with larger memory volumes. The situation with the base Galaxy S26 is more intriguing: the price may increase slightly only if the company decides to make 256 GB the base memory volume. At the same time, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus versions with 512 GB of flash memory might even become cheaper.
The main factor restraining price growth is fierce competition with Apple. According to preliminary information, Apple does not plan to increase the cost of its future iPhones, despite rising component costs. To maintain audience loyalty and remain competitive in the premium segment, Samsung is ready to reduce profitability without passing production costs onto consumers. Notably, the official premiere of the Galaxy S26 lineup is expected on February 25, with retail sales, according to preliminary data, starting on March 11.
