Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold: A Large Screen Without a Stylus – What’s the Strategy?

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, despite its enormous 10-inch screen, does not support a stylus. Conventional foldable models like Fold of almost all generations offer digital pen support, but not today’s novelty. One might assume that the TriFold would not support a stylus since support was removed in the Fold7, but the novelty has a much larger screen, and a stylus could interest some users. However, Samsung decided otherwise, and it’s unclear why.

Recall, Samsung also showed how the new model is produced and tested. The process uses not only 3D lasers but even computer tomography.

Recent insights suggest that Samsung’s decision to omit stylus support could relate to keeping the device’s thickness and weight reduced, maintaining its distinct design advantages over competitors. Additionally, reports indicate that Samsung is focusing on optimizing the touch experience to compensate for the lack of a stylus. This strategic move seems to cater to a demographic more interested in a sleek, highly portable device rather than additional accessories. In terms of production, the use of advanced 3D lasers and computer tomography highlights Samsung’s commitment to precision and durability in its foldable series, ensuring the TriFold stands out in performance and resilience.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold’s launch price has been a point of discussion, with market analysts forecasting a competitive pricing model aimed at broader consumer accessibility. Interestingly, future updates might include software enhancements aimed at enriching the user experience, focusing on multitasking capabilities that leverage the device’s expansive screen real estate.
