Samsung Galaxy S26: Pushing the Boundaries of Speed and Innovation

All smartphones in the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup will come equipped with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM in the base configuration. This was reported by the well-known insider Ice Universe, noting that these are LPDDR5X Ultra Pro chips with a data transfer speed of up to 10.7 Gbps, similar to those used in the top version of the iQOO 15 with 16 GB of RAM. The insider added that such a specification ensures a high level of performance and energy efficiency for the Galaxy S26 devices. In conjunction with the Snapdragon 8 Ultra Gen 5 single-chip system, the flagships are expected to show even more impressive results in synthetic tests and games. The Snapdragon 8 Ultra Gen 5 is set to enhance processing speed with its advanced AI capabilities and improved architecture over previous generations, offering lightning-fast responses and efficiency in power consumption.

Additionally, the new memory provides the Galaxy S26 Ultra with noticeable advantages in photo and video compared to its predecessor. Frame processing speed will increase by 20-25%, reducing latency in night shoots and accelerating HDR function. Neural networks will process images faster. Export of RAW files will be approximately 30% faster, stability during 8K shooting at 120 fps will improve, heating will be reduced by 10-15%, and switching between lenses will become more smooth and quick. These improvements will significantly impact consumer choices, especially for those looking to utilize their smartphones for advanced video production and photography.

The LPDDR5X Ultra Pro memory is distinguished by its four-channel architecture, significantly outperforming standard LPDDR5X modules, whose speed is limited to 9600 Mbps. The Galaxy S26 series will be one of the first where such a configuration is installed by default across all models-from the base to the Ultra version. Ice Universe was the first to accurately report on the new trend of smartphones with waterfall screens, the notch in iPhone X, the new design of the iPhone 14, and the 200-megapixel Samsung image sensor. Exclusive information about new products is leaked to him by sources in the research and development department of the South Korean giant.

Expected future developments in the Galaxy S series hint at even more groundbreaking technology, with potential enhancements in AI-driven features, improved battery longevity, and integration with IoT devices, further solidifying Samsung’s position as a leader in the smartphone market.
