Industry insider Ice Universe has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be unveiled in February, with the new smartphones hitting the market in March. An indirect confirmation of the upcoming announcement is the certification of a Samsung smartphone with the index SM-S9480 in the China Quality Certification Center. This device also appears in the GSMA IMEI database.
The upcoming device will support wired charging up to 60W, which is presumed to be the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be equipped with a 5200 mAh battery, a lighter casing, and integrated magnets, a feature claimed to be included across all three models in the series.
The base Galaxy S26 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch screen and a thickness of 6.9 mm. The S26+ model will have a 6.7-inch display and a body thickness of 7.3 mm, while the S26 Ultra is anticipated to sport a 6.9-inch screen and a thickness of 7.9 mm.
Reports indicate that a variant with the Exynos 2600 SoC will be sold exclusively in South Korea, whereas Samsung will focus on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra platform for other markets.
On Samsung’s official website, a new 60W power adapter quietly appeared, sparking speculations that it is meant for the new Galaxy S26 Ultra. It is expected that the S26 Ultra will be the only phone in the series supporting fast charging at 60W. The S26 Plus will reportedly offer 45W charging. It remains unknown whether the standard S26 will support charging at 25W or 45W.
Ice Universe, who accurately predicted recent smartphone design trends like waterfall displays, the iPhone X notch, the new iPhone 14 design, and Samsung’s 200MP image sensor, suggests that sources within Samsung’s Research and Development department have leaked exclusive information to him.
