Ryzen 7 9850X3D: Debuting with a Price Punch Across Oceans

Retailers from various countries have unveiled the pricing for the latest gaming processor, Ryzen 7 9850X3D, ahead of its official sales launch scheduled for January 29.

In Europe, the newcomer is priced between 530 euros ($581) for the OEM version in Germany to a notable 714 euros ($783) in France, including taxes. On average, across the European Union (Lithuania, Netherlands), the price ranges from 560–575 euros ($614-$630). By comparison, the predecessor Ryzen 7 9800X3D is approximately 100 euros ($109) cheaper in the same shops.

In the United States, the CPU has a minimum price of $502. It’s slightly more expensive in China, priced at 3700 yuan, approximately $530. The Ryzen 7 9850X3D debuted at the recent CES 2026 exhibition. The CPU boasts 8 cores with a frequency of 4.7-5.6 GHz. The cache volume (combining the second and third levels) is 104 MB, with consumption at 120 watts.

Stunning Performance Benchmarks

The latest benchmarks reveal that the Ryzen 7 9850X3D outpaces its predecessor in multi-core performance by approximately 15%, offering a significant boost for gamers and content creators. Intel’s latest CPUs, including the Intel Core i9 series, though competitive, trail slightly in terms of energy efficiency and thermal management according to expert reviews.

Consumer Reactions and Market Impact

Upon announcement, consumers have expressed excitement over the improved specifications and potential for enhanced gaming experiences. The competitive pricing, compared to similar offerings from Intel, has positioned AMD strongly in the high-performance processor market.

Looking forward, the forthcoming AMD processors are expected to maintain this momentum, with innovations geared towards artificial intelligence processing and even lower power consumption.
