Rocket Lab’s Electron: A Record-Breaking Journey into the Future

On November 20, Rocket Lab launched an Electron rocket with a secret payload named Follow My Speed. Information about the customer and the purpose of the satellite remains undisclosed, which is typical for missions related to national security or confidential technologies.

This launch marked Rocket Lab’s 18th successful launch in 2025-a record for the Electron rocket program. According to the company, this achievement makes Electron the most frequently used orbital launch vehicle for sending small satellites into space.

Three months ago, Rocket Lab conducted a similar mission for an anonymous customer, also without disclosing payload details.
