Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Poised to Lead with Massive Battery and Competitive Features

According to the well-known insider Digital Chat Station, the official premiere of the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro smartphone will take place in the coming months – before the Chinese New Year, which is before February 17. The informant indicates that Xiaomi is focusing on “big capacity and high performance” for this model. Additionally, the price range for the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro is expected to be 2500 yuan (approximately $345).

There were earlier rumors about the possible use of Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, but the insider clarified that Xiaomi does not plan to install this SoC yet. Instead, the smartphone will receive the only high-end processor available in this price range, optimized for maximum performance, possibly referring to the Dimensity 8500. One of the most impressive features, according to leaks, will be its battery: the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro is linked with a 9000mAh battery supporting 100-watt fast charging.

Additional features of the model include a metal side frame, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP68 protection. As reported by Xiaomitime, the new product will appear in international markets as the Poco F8, following Xiaomi’s strategy of rebranding devices (Poco F7 is a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro).

Previously, Digital Chat Station accurately reported the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, as well as the news that the Realme GT 7 Pro would receive a bright Samsung display and that the Dimensity 9400 SoC would be released before the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The smartphone market is seeing a growing trend towards larger batteries with fast charging capabilities to cater to increasingly demanding mobile users. With people expecting longer use without charging, this feature becomes crucial in competitive positioning.
