RedMagic 11 Air: Pushing Boundaries of Thin Smartphones with Significant Trade-offs

RedMagic, well known for its gaming smartphones with extreme features, has decided to venture into the realm of thin models. The company officially released the first teaser of the RedMagic 11 Air and confirmed the device’s name. Almost immediately after this, the insider Smart Pikachu on Weibo revealed the new device’s specifications. The smartphone will feature a 6.85-inch OLED display and a Snapdragon 8 Elite single-chip system.

In Geekbench, the device scored 3075 points in the single-core and 9934 points in the multi-core test. Its battery has a capacity of 7000 mAh, with fast charging claimed to be at 120 W. Up to 24 GB of RAM is also expected, along with a built-in active cooling system.

The thickness of the RedMagic 11 Air, according to the insider, will be 7.85 mm (0.31 inches), and its weight is 207 grams (7.3 oz). This is noticeably more than truly thin smartphones like the iPhone Air with 5.6 mm (0.22 inches) and 165 grams (5.8 oz).

Insider Smart Pikachu had previously accurately reported information about new products on the mobile market, particularly Xiaomi devices. He shared about the release of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone and the Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet.

In recent developments, RedMagic’s venture into thinner models poses a serious challenge to other brands focusing on performance over design slimness. Meanwhile, Apple and Xiaomi continue to push the envelope with their latest innovations, ensuring tough competition in this rapidly evolving market.
