Red Magic 11 Air: Launch of Innovation in a Slim Package with Power to Game Hard

The brand Red Magic has unveiled the gaming smartphone Red Magic 11 Air in China, combining high performance and good autonomy with a sleek body.

The smartphone is only 7.85 mm thick, yet features an active cooling system. The front panel is dominated by a 6.85-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. A standout feature is the absence of cutouts: the 16-megapixel front camera is hidden under the screen. The display frame is minimized to 1.25 mm, providing a screen-to-body ratio of 95.1%.

The hardware platform is powered by the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, with the Redcore R4 chip handling gaming processes. The ICE cooling system includes a built-in RGB-lit fan, a large vapor chamber, and a graphene layer under the screen. The manufacturer claims this configuration delivers a more stable frame rate compared to competitors using the Dimensity 9500 SoC.

Red Magic 11 Air features a 7000 mAh battery. It supports fast charging at 120 watts, and also includes a bypass charging feature (power directly from the network avoiding the battery during gaming).

The smartphone is equipped with touch triggers on the side frame with a polling rate of 520Hz, a built-in PC emulator for running desktop games, and an AI assistant (capable of text translation on the screen, object recognition in images, and providing advice during matches).

The device is offered in two configurations: 12/256 GB for $500 and 16/512 GB for $600.
