The official premiere of the Realme Neo 8 smartphone will take place on January 22, yet the Chinese resource ITHome has already published high-quality live photos of the production model – evidenced by the photo of the standard package which includes an 80W power adapter.
It is known that the smartphone will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 5 SoC and will be the first phone in the world with a Samsung OLED Sky Screen panel featuring a 165 Hz refresh rate. The screen measures 6.78 inches and is protected by durable Crystal Glass, featuring an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner underneath.
As reported by ITHome, the back cover is made of glass with a transparency effect and embossing. The smartphone will feature customizable RGB lighting near the camera block. The metal frame is made of aluminum alloy with a matte finish, and according to ITHome measurements, it has a thickness of 8.3 mm (with the stock protective film on the screen) and weighs 217 grams.
The Realme Neo 8 will boast an 8000 mAh battery and a camera system with sensors at 50, 50, and 8 MP resolutions. It also features water protection adhering to the IP69 grade.
In the ever-evolving world of smartphones, comparable models recently released have been placing significant emphasis on integrating AI capabilities to augment user experience. Battery capacities in this range are becoming more common, but the 165 Hz refresh rate screen continues to place Realme Neo 8 ahead in providing smooth visual experiences.
The durability marked by IP69 is notable, ensuring that the device stands up well against the elements, a feature increasingly valued by users with active lifestyles.
As we anticipate the Realme Neo 8’s official release, the keen interest and the rapidly evolving features in the smartphone market suggest it could become a notable contender in its category. Whether these advancements markedly alter everyday user experience remains a topic that will likely pique tech enthusiasts’ interest in the coming weeks.
