The yet-to-be-released Realme 16 Pro is generating buzz as the company reveals more details that make the device increasingly interesting on paper. Realme claims the new model will deliver the best portrait quality in its segment, thanks to the proprietary LumaColor IMAGE technology developed in collaboration with TUV Rheinland. This innovation aims to produce ‘more authentic and emotionally rich portraits with natural skin tones, multi-layer lighting, and a rich atmosphere.’
Realme states that LumaColor introduces an industry-first approach to light and color processing. Unlike traditional methods that separate light and color, potentially leading to overexposure or color distortion, LumaColor IMAGE intelligently aligns them, resulting in natural and harmonious skin tones, a consistent human-to-scene ratio, and atmospheric lighting and shadows.
The upcoming Realme model is also set to feature a periscope zoom lens-a rare find in this segment. The design promises to be ‘sophisticated and refined.’ The official announcement is expected on December 16. Recent industry reports suggest that if the features meet expectations, the Realme 16 Pro could pose a substantial challenge to competitors in the mid-range smartphone sector, thanks to its unique photography capabilities and design aesthetics.
