Polish Innovations Dive into Liquid: Goodram’s Immersion-Cooled SSD Leads High-Capacity Race

The Polish company Goodram, known for producing memory and storage solutions, has unveiled the SSD DC25F, a device engineered specifically for immersion cooling. This new product boasts a capacity of 122.88 TB and features a PCIe 5.0 interface. It leverages QLC memory, enabling the creation of such large-capacity drives.

The new SSD offers a read speed of 14,600 MB/s, but its write speed is significantly lower at just 3,200 MB/s. A similar scenario is observed with performance metrics, showing 3,000,000 and 35,000 IOPS. The model is available in form factors E3.S and E3.L.

Goodram asserts that its corporate SSDs have been tested using dielectric liquids commonly utilized in immersion cooling baths, including compositions from Shell and Chevron. This cooling method, known as immersion cooling, is a groundbreaking technology providing substantial heat reduction and enhanced reliability for high-performance computing environments.
